ARTIST
STATEMENT
"The
work I am currently making is based on utilitarian ceramics.
Many of my influences come directly from my environment.
Having to deal with illness and death of someone close
to me has been a stimulus behind my work. It has affected
the way in which I think about life, death, and the
struggle for survival. These experiences are expressed
through my work and are the driving force behind it."
