ARTIST STATEMENT

For the past tenyears, J Bradley Maddalena has worked as both a furniture designer and artisan. He combines a strong aesthetic with technical skill to create unparalleled functional furniture.

After experimenting with various medium, I have settled on wood. It’s the intrinsic beauty ofthe raw material itself that inspires and challenges me. My work is very organic like the tree that provided the raw material. However, that is not to say that all my emphasis is on aesthetics.I placeequal value on technique and functionality. I am just as influenced by traditional woodworking techniques and how a piece functions as I am by how a piece appears. more about Bradley
