Present:
I started working with glass a few years ago and quickly grew out of my garage studio. In March of 2001 I purchased a building and have set up a 3000 square foot studio in San Pedro, Ca. I share it with two other artists.

Careers:
I have worked as a survey archaeologist and lived with hunters and gathers in South America.
I was an industrial engineer for an aerospace company. I have taught anthropology and archaeology at the community college and university levels, as well as, general education at elementary and middle schools ranging from the inner city to migrant farm communities to suburbia.

Education:
University of Idaho
B.A. in Anthropology, 1974

Washington University, St, Louis, MO
Ph.D. in Anthropology 1984

Art Education:
John Williams taught me how to apply the Laws of Physics to glass. Roger Thomas ) showed that physical laws and beauty are not incompatible. Amerinda taught me about attention to details. And Einar and Jamex de la Torre (the original 'anti-purists') showed me how physics, beauty, and detail can be combined to create meaning.
